Carol Gaas provides administrative support to the director and associate director of the institute and serves as the liaison for the Gulf Coast Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit. In addition, she coordinates meetings and conferences, and prepares related materials.

Before joining the institute in 2006, Carol served as the assistant to the Department Head of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences for 17 years. She was the recipient of the 2003 Vice Chancellor’s Award in Excellence for On-Campus Administrative Support for the Texas A&M Agriculture Program.
