Land Information Systems Lab Services
Land Information Systems is set up to assist in serving the needs of
private landowners, state and federal agencies, as well as faculty, staff and students of Texas A&M
University. The lab supports printing needs, data analysis needs, GIS, GPS, and Image processing needs,
as well as technology support for natural resource management.
Data Analysis
Staff at Land Information Systems can provide spatial analysis of natural resource
systems for projects that need a GIS or mapping component. Services are on a project by

Data Acquisition and Management
Staff at Land Information systems can provide assistance on acquiring, managing, and
developing derived spatial data products for projects and research. Services are on a project

Training
Land Information Systems offers several geospatial courses throughout the year. An
introductory GIS course and a more advanced course that works with raster analysis.

Large Format Printing
An HP1055 CM large format plotter is available for use for faculty, staff, and students for printing
of scientific posters, research support, and mapping. Different paper types and weights are available
from existing stock. The maximum width of the print cannot exceed 36 inches. Length is variable to need.
General printing costs:
- Scientific poster - $40
- Other - $5/ sq. foot
- Poster Tubes - $5
If you need printing, please contact one of the staff to set up a time for printing. We will print
your job within 72 hours of your request. You will need to fill out a request for printing form
with information for billing. Billing is done through the TAMUS billing; an account number is optional.
