Description:
ArcGIS Desktop II: Tools and Functionality teaches the range of functionality available in the software and the essential tools for visualizing, creating, managing, and analyzing geographic data. The hands-on course exercises emphasize practice with ArcMap and ArcCatalog to perform common GIS tasks and workflows. The tools for creating and managing geographic data, displaying data on maps in different ways, and combining and analyzing data to discover patterns and relationships are highlighted, and you learn how ArcGIS Desktop provides a complete GIS software solution. By the end of the course, you will be prepared to start working with the software on your own.

On-Campus Facility
Courses are taught in the Centeq Building located in Research Park. Parking is available at the building. Maps to Centeq can be found at http://campusmaps.tamu.edu. The Centeq Building is number 1605 on the map.
Classes are limited to 10 people on a first come-first serve basis. Please dress comfortably and bring a sweater as the building varies in temperature.
Registration Policies
The course fee includes a nonrefundable processing fee per class. The course fee minus the processing fee will be refunded if we receive notice of cancellation at least six (6) business days prior to the class start date. See individual registration forms for course processing fee. Students who cancel five (5) days or fewer before the class start date or who fail to appear for the class will be charged the full course fee or may transfer to the next available class at no charge. Student substitutions (from the same organization) are allowed, providing that the Registrar is notified in advance.
