Purpose
The Leon River Restoration Project (LRRP) is a research scale brush control program within the Leon River watershed of Coryell and Hamilton Counties. The primary objective of the research project is to quantify the impacts of Ashe Juniper (Juniperus ashei) removal and management on rangeland water yield, wildlife habitat, and forage production for livestock.
The LRRP research team includes several graduate students, faculty, and staff within the Texas A&M University System that represent a broad range of disciplines and is responsible for collecting and analyzing a significantly large amount of data over a period of several years. The purpose of this website is to provide a medium for documentation and management of the electronic data files, reports, maps, presentations, and all other pertinent project information that has been compiled as a result of the LRRP.
