Duties at IRNR
Facilitating interactions between scientists in the Land Grant (TAMU/IRNR) program, the Sea
Grant Program (Texas Sea Grant Program), and the Texas Space Grant Consortium (NASA and UT).
Assists in the building of partnerships to address research and education needs to equip natural
resource managers with the best available tools and technologies for addressing emerging issues.
Emphasis in six core areas for the Texas Geospatial Extension Program:
1.) Land use change and fragmentation
2.) Invasive species monitoring and management
3.) Natural resource data accessibility
4.) Curriculum enrichment
5.) Professional training
6.) Texas Coastal Watershed Program partnership

Relevant Experience
Extension Associate from March 1999- March 2005, Land Information Systems Laboratory Manager, Texas Cooperative Extension. Provided support to the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences Extension. Provided support to Institute of Renewable Natural Resources Extension programs. Systems administrator and programmer.
Farm Bill Coordinator, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department from May 1998 – February 1999. Acted as statewide coordinator for Texas Parks and Wildlife. Worked cooperatively with NRCS to provide programs in support of wildlife management for the 1995 Farm Bill.
Conservation Scientist IV – GIS Analyst from April 1996-May 1998, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Provided support to the Endangered Species Branch’s GIS program.
