Jennifer Morton is a research assistant with the Texas A&M Institute of Renewable Natural Resources Mussel Research Group. She assists in freshwater mussel surveys in rivers and streams across Texas and laboratory studies focusing on mussel-host fish relationships. Her research interests include thermal tolerances of mussels and developing environmental flow recommendations for state-threatened species. She has a background in biological sampling of freshwater streams in Maryland.
Morton previously worked for state and federal government agencies. She graduated with a bachelor of arts from Rice University.
